Delve into LocoMobi World Inc.’s specialization as a Smart City technology company, offering cutting-edge solutions in parking, tolling, transit, storage, asset tracking, and threat management.
Amidst the dynamic landscape of IoT and smart city technology, LocoMobi emerged as a fresh contender, driven by a mission to revolutionize daily life and reshape urban functionality. This case study delves into the transformative path of realigning a brand that faced challenges in effectively connecting with both tech-savvy consumers and influential figures in the realm of civil engineering.
Website Design, Branding & Visual Communication
From 2015 to 2018, I collaborated with LocoMobi on various initiatives, notably encompassing the overhaul of their corporate website in both 2015 and 2018. Additionally, I undertook the task of revamping their logo and refining their visual communication strategy. LocoMobi’s operational scope extended across diverse Canadian and US markets, including Toronto, Chicago, and Los Angeles. During my involvement, I recognized a significant challenge in brand consistency due to disjointed visual assets stemming from multiple sources. My role centered on the creation of an online platform that harmonized these brand assets, rendering them accessible to all team members.
Outcome
The revamped website design for LocoMobi in 2015 played a pivotal role in finalizing agreements with notable entities such as Cleveland Clinics and Park’n’Fly. Similarly, the 2018 website update proved instrumental in securing the significant Chicago Skyway deal, alongside various other substantial agreements with parking lot operators in key locations including Los Angeles, Toronto, and Connecticut.
My grasp of branding principles and my ability to formulate accessible brand guidelines for non-graphic designer employees played a crucial role in reinforcing LocoMobi’s brand identity. This effort positioned LocoMobi as a contemporary, adept leader in smart city technology—a brand that businesses could confidently rely on.
My adeptness in delivering compelling presentations significantly contributed to LocoMobi’s successful capital raising endeavors and facilitated concise communication of their message during sales pitches. Furthermore, these skills played a pivotal role in attracting top-tier talent to the advisory board, including influential figures like Darryl Sittler.
