Introduction:
Ganja Glam, a distinctive cannabis t-shirt design company, embarked on a journey to define its brand identity from scratch. With a mission to cater to individuals aged 21-65 who appreciate cannabis for recreational or medicinal purposes, the company sought a brand identity that resonated with cannabis culture without alienating newcomers or art enthusiasts. The challenge? Crafting a brand that signified quality, trust, and affordability.

Research and Insights:
With extensive knowledge of cannabis trends and consumer preferences, the branding approach was rooted in deep market insights. This expertise ensured the brand’s alignment with current trends and the target audience’s preferences.
Feedback & Iteration:
With full creative lead, flexibility was key. The client desired both portrait and landscape layouts for the logo, ensuring adaptability across platforms, from websites to social media. Additionally, a distinct brand mark was crafted, akin to how MLB and NBA utilize theirs, further enhancing brand recognition.
Logo Design:
Inspired by the unique t-shirt artwork, a leaf from the top of the cultivar graphic was chosen as the brand mark. This leaf, symbolic of the brand’s core product, is encased in a box, reminiscent of iconic logos like the NBA and MLB. This design choice not only signifies quality and trust but also offers a nod to popular culture, bridging the gap between cannabis enthusiasts and the general public.
Colour Palette:
Website Design & Development:
Mordern website design with a focus on large typography and using colours to create contrast. The website launched October 1, 2023 and is ready to provide consumers with a beuatiful and finctional online shopping experience.
Collateral & Applications:
Beyond the logo, the branding extended to website design and visual communication strategies for social media. This included animated stories and carousel posts, enhancing engagement and ensuring a cohesive brand experience. As part of their promotional strategy, Ganja Glam is currently running a campaign to announce their upcoming launch. I was also heavily envolved in the fundraising process which resulted in the company raising enough money to fund their packaging and promotional campaign.
Motion Design for Social Media:
Creating scroll stopping reels and eye catching ads requires designers to incorporate motion graphics into their list of tools. Ganja Glam wanted to share reels that offered value to their consumers and were focused on education rather than sales. Establishing themselves as a reliable source of information and cannabis apparel is what these reels aimed to do.
